Football season
is here again and Calgary Transit provides service to McMahon
Stadium from all areas of the city.
The best way to get to the football games is to take the
CTrain (Route 201 Dalhousie) and get off at Banff Trail station.
Use the Park and Ride lots at any of the South LRT Stations and take
the CTrain directly there. Service from the northeast is provided
by the CTrain (Route 202 City Center). You will have to get off at
one of the downtown platforms and transfer to the Route 201. Extra
trains are utilized for the football games to get you home quickly
after the games.
If you are not located near one of the LRT Stations there
are several bus routes that travel by McMahon Stadium.
From the southwest the route 72 Circle Route which travels
north down 37 Street will drop you off in front of the stadium on
University Drive. Remember to catch the route 73 Circle Route to get
back. Route 20 Northmount travels through the southwest along
Crowchild Trail and will drop you off in front of the stadium on
University Drive also.
From the northeast and travelling through the northcentral
area take the route 73 Circle Route which travels from the
northeast along 32 Avenue, 40 Avenue, and Northmount Drive before
going through the University and letting you off on University Drive
in front of the stadium. The route 20 Heritage departs from Center
Street and 78 Avenue and travels along Northmount to University
Drive. Route 19, 16 Avenue North travels from Rundle Station in the
northeast and goes to the stadium via 19 Street N.E. and 16 Avenue.
You can check the exact routing and get schedule times for
the above routes by visiting the Routes
